Newburgh Sailing Club is a friendly, volunteer-run dinghy sailing club on the south bank of the River Tay in the town of Newburgh, Fife. From our clubhouse overlooking the water there is always something happening — whether you are sailing, learning or simply watching from the shore.

We are an RYA Recognised Training Centre, offering structured sailing and powerboat training alongside relaxed club sailing and racing. On a typical day you’ll see juniors learning their first skills, adults trying sailing for the first time, families sailing together and experienced sailors enjoying competitive racing.

You don’t need to have sailed before to visit. Many members joined knowing nothing about boats, and you don’t need your own equipment to get started. Equally, if you already sail — or sailed years ago — you will find plenty of opportunities to get back on the water.

Visitors are always welcome. Someone will happily explain what’s happening, answer questions, and, when conditions allow, arrange a chance to go afloat with an experienced member. You are free to take things entirely at your own pace.

The club is as much about people as it is about sailing. Families, individuals and friends are all welcome to come along — whether you want to learn, race, volunteer or simply enjoy time by the river.
